COGI BODY TRANSFORMATION
SO… HOW’S THE RESOLUTION GOING? …Riiighht.  Well, how about this? You are working to stay motivated while changing your lifestyle habits and get into better shape. Well, what if we offered you a chance to win $1,000 while you work to accomplish your personal goals.
Here’s the ticket. We take a before picture of you, 12 weeks later we take an after picture. We judge who makes the best overall physical transforma-tion based on appearance only. Your weight doesn’t matter. Your body fat percentage doesn’t matter. Your BMI does not matter. The contest is judged on whether or not you made a better overall change in appearance than the other contestants. Nope. Not whether you look the best. But, as you’ve worked to change, did you make a more visible change than the other contestants?
It’s the perfect compliment for Team Lean participants because you are already doing the tough part of managing your food intake. Now, at the end of your program, you work a few additional weeks to tone everything up. By the way, adding a little muscle helps to increase your basal metabolic rate and burn more calories throughout the course of a day.
All said, you get a chance to take your body to a totally different level, whether you win the contest or not.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT 101
Activate the sugars, then, burn the fat. Give yourself a short bout of strength training to burn the sugars (muscle glycogen), then cardio for 20-30 minutes to activate stored body fat.

Cogi Athletic Challenge Drills and Descriptions

  • 1 minute Bench Hops
  • Hands are gripping the outside of the bench. Must maintain grip the whole time. Throw your hips and feet to opposite side of the bench continu-ously for one minute. Pre-exhaust
  • 5 minuteAirbench
  • Back against wall with knees bent at 90 degrees. Feet are at hip-socket width apart. Head up with shoulders back. Pre-exhaust
  • Bicep Curl
  • Women (13 and over) curl two 12lb dumbbells alternately for 2 minutes; 12 and under use 8lbs.
  • Men (ages18 and over) will curl two 25lb dumbbells alternately for 2 minutes (ages 13-17 use 15lbs). One arm has to be in motion at all times. Boys 12 and under will use 10lbs.Pre-exhaust
  • 50 yard CrabWalk
  • Hands and feet are on the ground with the stomach turned up toward the sky and the butt off the ground. Head is toward the finish line. Keeping butt up, move from start line to finish line as quickly as possible. Pre-exhaust
  • NFL 300 YardShuttle-
  • With 2 cones spread 25 yards apart, sprint over and back six times. Hand must touch the line each time. Timed
  • 2 minute Sit-ups-
  • Bentknee. Feet must stay flat at all times. Fingertips must stay in contact with the head or neck at all times. Contact must be behind the ears. Rep count
                          
  • Cogi Shuttle-
  • With 2cones spread 25 yards apart, sprint over and backpedal (run backwards) back six times. Foot must touch the line each time. Timed
  • 1 minute Push-ups
  • Legs straight (no slumping at the waist). Chest must touch the floor/ground. Arms must come all the way to full “lock-out” position. (Only ½ credits given for modified push-ups).  Rep count
  • 1.5 mile run
  • Timed

 

*All pre-exhaust exercises are simply qualifiers (no points).
